Native clans were trace through the mother's ancestors; which makes sense -- if there were times when the father's origins were not known; basically this: If your mother was Native American, no matter the nation of birth of your father -- you were considered a "full-blood" member of your mother's tribe and clan. If you need more details on these or other tips in this brief summary -- "Google It" (using quotes around key phrases. Prior to the Indian Removal to the west, Georgia instated laws by which native Americans could no longer own property/land in Georgia. Mr 2greatGrandfather is Asa Meadows and his daughter Theodosia Elizbeth Meadows married a Wright. I am surprised at some of the information you have/don’t have on her children and their children. I would like to work with you on correcting the information.
You state you are not related to some of the people on your site. Are you related to Asa Meadows or Theodosia E Meadows Wright?

Who are (your) Asa Meadows’ parents?
In my rough outline, I have several Asa Meadows born/lived in Alabama
(birth dates include: 1841, 1896, 1861, 1887, 1832, 1837, 1808). Can send more detail if you email me direct…
These folks, I have not made connection to my Meadows ancestors. Yet.
My Meadows line descends from Ransom Middleton Meadows, who lived most of his married life in Alabama. Does this name ring a bell?
Many of my Meadows families had descendants who later migrated toward Texas and other western states.
If you can help me sort out anything; the help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, for writing.

What makes you think she isn’t?
Have you done any DNA testing?
Don’t criticize my research without YOUR proof, and not your anger.
THAT, is why I am researching, looking for PROOF — either for or against the Native American connection(s).
Possibilities are there, as stated by several ‘sources’ from their family’s oral traditions.
If you would be more polite about your discussion I might share what I HAVE found on this topic. As it is you are left without it.
Care to communicate directly? I’m listening.
